Even though you may see a lot of paintings and pictures of plesiosaurs with their necks stretched and bendy, scientists now think they couldn't bend their necks much because of the way they were built. There necks were actually pretty stiff!

It is believed plesiosaurs laid eggs like turtles do, in the sand.

Plesiosaurs did not chew, even though they had razor-sharp teeth, which it used for trapping fish.

Plesiosaurs were probably the first fossil reptile to be seen by scientists!
