Type	Powerful meat-eating dinosaur
Lived When	Early Cretaceous (144 to 99 million years ago)
Length	Up to 49 feet
Weight	Up to 4 1/2 tons
Diet	Other dinosaurs, dead or alive; dinosaur eggs as well (probably)
Habitat	Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Niger (these areas were floodplains covered with lush forests when Spino lived there!)
Interesting Spinosaurus Facts	Spinosaurus is named for the spines that stick out from its backbone. These are covered with a "sail" of skin. Spinosaurus had crocodile-like jaws with rows of needle-sharp teeth. These long jaws were great for digging into dead dino bodies! Cool!
